The subsidiary of Hartwall, Hartwa-Trade, is a fast-growing importer and wholesaler of alcoholic beverages. Hartwall is part of the UK's Scottish & Newcastle Group, which is one of the leading brewing companies in Europe.
Done Logistics will deliver the FidaWare for Warehousing system for the Logistics Center in Lahti, in order to improve the control of the flow of material during standard warehouse and order picking procedures. The new system will combine and modernise the existing warehouse management and order picking systems (beverages manufactured in Lahti, Hartwa-Trade) to form one seamless management system. As a new feature, FidaWare will also control the material flow of the packaging materials. FidaWare will manage the warehouse’s functions in real-time and our system will eventually be a part of the Supply Chain Management system. The implementation of the Fidaware system will be done in phases and will start in the spring of 2006. According to
Hartwall’s Systems Manager Pertti Joki, the co-operation with Done Logistics has been a beneficial partnership for quite some time, and the systems delivered to Hartwall have always proved to be well-functioning and reliable.
